Information and Communication


Information Technology is taught to students from Years 7-12 systematically developing their computer literacy, competence and understanding in the use and affects of our changing digital technologies. Students learn a range of tools which they use to be creative, inquisitive and motivated to take more command over their own learning.

Year 7 (2 periods per week)

Basic Concepts of Information Technology
Using the Computer and Managing Files
Word Processing
Spreadsheets

Year 8 (2 periods per week)

Spreadsheets
Database
Presentation Software
Information and Communication

Students completing the course outlined for Years 7 & 8 will be awarded the International Computer Drivers License (ICDL).

Year 9 (Elective 2 periods per week)

Programming in Visual Basic
Multimedia and Web Pages

Year 10 (Elective 3 periods per week)
